rising

rising and crashing against steep, jagged rock

seals sunning, swimming

gulls call out

mesmerized by the rising and lowering swell

rising, lowering, rising, lowering

you, the ocean itself,

glimmer and dance

my eyes,

squinting in the bright sun, reflect your

rising and lowering, rising and lowering

as if, time stands still,

we chat for hours like old friends without speaking a word

no rush to go off, back there to be something we’re not, never were,

never will be, only being, becoming

being, becoming

always becoming,

growing, marveling in a constant state of awe and contentment

rising and falling, rising and falling

you invite, call to me

be one as we’re already

i ask, do you ever get bored

bored

you know not the meaning of the word

rising and falling, rising and falling

but I see you rising and crashing against steep, jagged rock

you’re fluid form, you’re 4.6 billion

my flesh and bones, not even near 1 hundred

ever rising
